1. Introduction
Pulse Escape is a simple arcade game designed for web, Android, and iOS. This Privacy Policy explains what information may be collected, how it is used, and how player data is protected when using the game, creating an account, submitting scores, or appearing on the leaderboard.
2. Account Information
When you create an account, the game may collect your email address, username, Firebase user ID, account provider, account creation time, last login time, and basic gameplay statistics such as best score, best wave, and games played. Your email is used for authentication and account management. Your username is used to identify you inside the game and on the leaderboard.
3. Guest Mode
You may continue as guest without creating an account. Guest gameplay scores are stored locally on your device only and are not uploaded to the worldwide leaderboard. If you uninstall the app, clear browser storage, or change device/browser, guest progress may be lost.
4. Leaderboard Data
If you are signed in, your best score and best wave may be uploaded to the leaderboard. The leaderboard may display your username, best score, best wave, and optional profile image if a future sign-in provider provides one. The leaderboard is designed to show top scores worldwide and does not display your password.
5. Firebase Services
Pulse Escape uses Firebase services such as Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore. Firebase Authentication manages sign-up and sign-in. Cloud Firestore stores player profiles, username reservations, and leaderboard records. Firebase may process technical information required to provide these services, such as authentication identifiers, timestamps, and device/network-related metadata.
6. Passwords
Passwords are handled by Firebase Authentication. The game does not store your plain-text password in Firestore. You are responsible for choosing a secure password and keeping your login details confidential.
7. Gameplay and Device Data
The game may store local gameplay settings on your device, including difficulty selection, reduced-flash preference, haptic preference, and local best score. This local data is used to improve gameplay experience and is not necessarily synchronized across devices.
8. How Data Is Used
Collected data is used to create and manage accounts, allow username-based sign-in, save personal best scores, display leaderboard rankings, improve gameplay continuity, detect obvious data errors, and maintain basic game functionality.
9. Data Sharing
The game does not sell player data. Public leaderboard information may be visible to other players, including username, best score, and best wave. Firebase/Google services may process data as required for authentication, hosting, database, and platform functionality.
10. Children and Younger Players
Pulse Escape is a casual arcade game. If the game is used by children, a parent or guardian should supervise account creation and online leaderboard participation. The game should avoid collecting unnecessary personal information from younger players.
11. Data Retention
Account and leaderboard data may remain stored while the account is active. Local guest data may remain on the device until the user clears app/browser storage or uninstalls the app. If account deletion is later implemented, associated user profile and leaderboard records should also be removed or anonymized.
12. Security
Reasonable technical measures are used through Firebase Authentication and Firestore configuration. However, no online service can guarantee absolute security. Players should use strong passwords and avoid sharing account credentials.
13. Player Choices
Players may use guest mode, sign out, avoid leaderboard submission by not signing in, or request future deletion of account data if such support is provided. Gameplay can continue without an online account, but worldwide leaderboard features require sign-in.
14. Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated when features change, such as adding sound, ads, analytics, cloud save, achievements, or new sign-in providers. Continued use of the game after updates means acceptance of the updated policy.
15. Contact
For questions about privacy, account data, leaderboard records, or deletion requests, contact the game administrator or developer through the official support channel provided with the published app.
